Metal Has Changed, Not As Nice As Before

I recieved this necklace in silver back in 2016 after a divorce as I began a new chapter of my life. The necklace was everything and meant so much to me. About 6 months ago the lobster claw clasp broke and I decided to purchase another one. The metal/silver used now is completely different than what metal was used in 2016 and I am disappointed. It looks like that cheap plastic with metal coating instead of real silver.
